Currently, the Neurologic Specialty Certification is a very prestigious &amp; well-known specialty developed to help distinguish physical therapists with advanced knowledge and skills in specialty areas.&nbsp; This Certification is&nbsp;awarded&nbsp;by the Neurologic Section of the American Physical Therapy Association.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Riggioni obtained her Neurologic Specialty Certification back in 2007 when only about 500 physical therapists worldwide had this specialty. Today there is a total of approx. 2,000 clinical specialists worldwide who are specialized in the area of neurology. Furthermore,&nbsp;only a&nbsp;small percentage of the total current specialists continue to maintain their specialty (required every ten years) through rigorous testing &amp; portfolio development demonstrating advanced and specialized knowledge and experience in the areas of clinical practice, education, &amp; research.<\/p>\n<p><img class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-652\" src=\"https:\/\/neuroft.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/Foto-Dra.-Riggioni-Specialty-Ceremony-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"Foto Dra.
