There are 3 types:<\/p>\n<\/div><ul style=\"--awb-iconcolor:#193d8a;--awb-line-height:27.2px;--awb-icon-width:27.2px;--awb-icon-height:27.2px;--awb-icon-margin:11.2px;--awb-content-margin:38.4px;\" class=\"fusion-checklist fusion-checklist-1 fusion-checklist-default type-icons\"><li class=\"fusion-li-item\" style=\"\"><span class=\"icon-wrapper circle-no\"><i class=\"fusion-li-icon fa-poll-h fas\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i><\/span><div class=\"fusion-li-item-content\">\n<p><strong>Type I:<\/strong> the inferior angle of the scapula is observed to be prominent, due to which the scapula takes on another excessive position as it tilts forward.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/li><li class=\"fusion-li-item\" style=\"\"><span class=\"icon-wrapper circle-no\"><i class=\"fusion-li-icon fa-poll-h fas\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i><\/span><div class=\"fusion-li-item-content\">\n<p><strong>Type II:<\/strong> in this case the medial border of the scapula is prominent which may cause internal rotation of the scapula towards the thorax.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/li><li class=\"fusion-li-item\" style=\"\"><span class=\"icon-wrapper circle-no\"><i class=\"fusion-li-icon fa-poll-h fas\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i><\/span><div class=\"fusion-li-item-content\">\n<p><strong>Type III:<\/strong> the upper border of the scapula is excessive and the patient usually compensates the arm elevation movement by shrugging the shoulders.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/li><\/ul><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-7\"><h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">Causes<\/h2>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-8\"><ol>\n<li>Soft tissue stiffness, often found in the pectoralis minor muscle and levator scapulae, could lead to inadequate scapular tilt.<\/li>\n<li>Possible neuromuscular fatigue and scapulothoracic incoordination.
