A bad posture is one that causes our body to be forced into a position that is uncomfortable and produce pain. This bad posture increases muscle tension and can lead to the risk of compressing nerves in the shoulder and neck area.

A bad posture is a situation that can occur at any time, but the fact of working or sitting in front of a desk for long periods of time makes us more susceptible to adopt bad postures.

It is also advisable not to cross your legs, it is best to keep your feet on the floor with your ankles a little more in front of your knees. And always touch the floor with your feet. Footrests are very useful.

Another tip is to keep your shoulders relaxed, they should not be hunched or stretched backwards. While the elbows should be close to your body, they should be bent, forming an angle of 90 and 120 degrees.

The back should be properly supported. Pillows or other support can be used to ensure that the curve of the lower back is comfortable. Likewise, the thighs and hips should be in a comfortable well-padded seat parallel to the floor.
