Dr. Lisa Riggioni

D.T.F., E.N.C., Certified TND, Director

Dr. Lisa Riggioni Meyers is from San José, Costa Rica and specializes in neurological rehab.

Lisa graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a Bachelor of Science; from the University of Florida at Gainesville with a master’s degree in Physical Therapy; and from ATSU in Mesa, Arizona with a Ph.D. in Physical Therapy.

Dr. Riggioni is an active member of the “American Physical Therapy Association”, the NDTA “Neurodevelopmental Treatment Association”, and the “College of Physicians and Surgeons of Costa Rica”. Her credentials include prestigious certifications: Certified Neurological Specialist (ENC), after passing a rigorous and national exam. In addition, she obtained the certification in neurodevelopmental treatment granted at the end of a theoretical and practical training specifically designated for that purpose. Lisa has extensive work experience treating people with neurological and orthopedic disorders at Florida Hospital, Orlando Regional Medical Center, and St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. Lisa is fluent in English, Italian, and Spanish.

 

Licda. Ana Gabriela Campos, T.F.

Licda. Ana Gabriela Campos, T.F.

Ana Gabriela Campos Montero was born in San José, Costa Rica. She has a degree in Physical Therapy and graduated with honors from Santa Paula University. She is fully incorporated into the College of Therapists of Costa Rica and has received complementary studies in Massage Therapy and Kinesio-Taping Techniques. Ana Gabriela has attended basic CPR and first aid courses.

Ana Gabriela completed her pediatric practice at the Fundación Pro-Jóvenes con Cerebral Palsy, a geriatric practice at the Home for the Elderly in Piedades de Santa Ana and a hospital practice at the Rafael Ángel Calderón Guardia Hospital. She has professional experience in special education schools, working with autistic and cerebral palsy children, and also attending patients at home, especially the elderly. She is currently studying English as a second language.

 

Licda. Ariana Espinoza, T.F.

Licda. Ariana Espinoza Aguilar, T.F.

Ariana Espinoza Aguilar was born in San José, Costa Rica. She has a degree in Physical Therapy from the Santa Paula University. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science from Liberty University in Virginia, USA and with complementary studies in Massage Therapy and Kinesio-taping. She was an intern at Central Health and Rehab Associates of Central Virginia, Lynchburg, Virginia. She worked as a physical therapy aide at Blue Ridge Bone & Joint in Asheville, North Carolina. Ariana performed her children’s practice at Tic Tac Toe in Barrio Escalante, the geriatric at Hogar San Pedro Claver and hospital practice at CENARE. Ariana is fluent in English and Spanish.

 

Licda. Natalia Mora Gamboa, T.F.

Natalia Mora Gamboa was born in San José, Costa Rica. She has a degree in Physical Therapy from the Santa Paula University. She is certified in Pilates, equestrian therapies and a massage therapy technician obtained from the University College of Cartago, CUC. Currently, she is studying the last year of a master’s degree in Osteopathy taught by the Madrid School of Osteopathy, EOM, Central America headquarters. Natalia carried out her university practice in pediatrics at the Fundación Pro-Jóvenes con Paálisis Cerebral, the geriatric at the Carthaginian Association for Citizen Care in the elderly, ASCATE. She practiced in the hospital at the National Rehabilitation Center, CENARE.

Natalia is fluent in English, Spanish and is currently learning the Costa Rican sign language, LESKO.

 

Licda. Marianne Robert León, T.L.

Marianne Robert León, born in San José, Costa Rica, graduated from Universidad Santa Paula with a Bachelor’s degree in Language, Speech and Voice Therapy. She has clinical experience in maintaining and improving voice and communication in older adults; as well as the assessment, diagnosis and intervention of language pathologies in children and adults.

Mariana has collaborated with the child population in the Santa Paula clinic and in the María Auxiliadora Association of Children with Infant Cerebral Palsy; also with adult patients at Hospital México, Hogar Carlos María Ulloa and La Casa Sol Day Center, working on the cognitive area, language, speech, voice and swallowing. Co-author of guide for cognitive stimulation, in order to maintain communication in patients with Parkinson’s and degenerative diseases.

Mariana is a certified bilingual therapist in the intensive method of voice improvement for people with Parkinson’s disease: “LSVT LOUD”.

Licda. Abby Ortega Vargas, T.F.

Abby Ortega Vargas was born in San José, Costa Rica. She has a degree in Physical Therapy, graduated with honors from Santa Paula University. She is fully incorporated into the College of Therapists of Costa Rica. She has complementary studies in Massage Therapy Techniques, CPR, functional training for children with disabilities received in NYC, good clinical practice for medical research, training program in empathetic communication, years of volunteering in the children’s hospital and with a youth organization. She has more than 7 years work experience in the rehabilitation field and as a clinical educator. She considers herself a committed person interested in helping others to have a better quality of life and be happier. She speaks English and Spanish.

Priscila Bermudez Montero, P.T.

Priscila Bermudez Montero was born in San José, Costa Rica. She is a Licensed Physical Therapist graduated from the University of Santa Paula. She is currently a member of the Costa Rican Physical Therapy Association. She loves being a physical therapist and seeing each person progress to meet their goals. She completed her pediatric clinical internship at “Escuela de Enseñanza Especial de Pozos de Santa Ana”, her geriatric internship at “Hogar de Ancianos Corazón de Jesus en Puriscal”, and her hospital internship at Hospital CIMA.

 

Dr. Daniele Guzman, D.P.T.

Dra. Daniele Guzman was born in the United States. She graduated from Santa Clara University in Santa Clara, California with a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Biology with an emphasis in Biomedical Science. She obtained her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Samuel Merritt University in Oakland, California and is actively licensed through the Physical Therapy Board of California.  She is working in our Escazu clinic as an intern to learn our specialized NeuroFT approach.

She has experience treating a variety of neurologic and orthopedic conditions, working for 10 years at the Palo Alto Veteran’s Hospital in Palo Alto, California. Additionally she is an LSVT BIG certified therapist, specializing in treatment for individuals with Parkinson’s Disease. Daniele is fluent in English and actively learning Spanish as a second language.
