Spasticity

  • Spasticity is a motor disorder characterized by a velocity-dependent increase in tonic stretch reflexes with exaggerated tendon jerks, resulting from hyperexcitability of the stretch reflex. Spasticity is one component of the upper motor neuron syndrome.
