Post Stroke TMS Treatment
Repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) is a treatment that accelerates the rehabilitation process and complements the efforts of the patient and his medical team.
WHAT IS A CEREBRAL STROKE?
A stroke occurs when blood flow to the brain is interrupted. Within minutes after the stroke occurs, brain cells begin to die which can cause long-term damage. There are three types of strokes: ischemic, embolic and stroke.

TMS FOR CEREBRAL STROKE
rTMS is an outpatient, non-invasive and effective treatment for some neurological and psychiatric disorders. Although it is a novel treatment, it is already recognized and recommended by doctors around the world for patients with depression, stroke, Parkinson’s, fibromyalgia, OCD, tinnitus and other conditions.
The treatment is FDA-approved in the United States and internationally supported by the research and application of leading academic institutions, hospitals and leading treatment centers.
HOW DOES TMS WORK?
Magnetic stimulation consists of the activation of specific parts of the brain by means of magnetic waves, without the need for surgical intervention or anesthesia. It helps to generate a change for the patient by exciting the nerve cells of the cerebral cortex, accelerating the change.
Before and After TMS
Post Stroke Patient Testimonial
Four years ago I got a call from a desperate daughter asking for help, as her mother had just suffered a massive stroke. Imagine the despair each of you would feel if your mother suddenly lost the ability to move.
In a matter of seconds, Doris went from being totally independent to lying in a hospital bed unable to move.
Doris couldn’t support the weight of her own head, and when she spoke, she could hear a soup of words that couldn’t be understood. Doris had her head turned completely to the right because the left side of her brain no longer existed.
Neither the family nor the nurses and doctors present believed that she would be able to regain her mobility. Sadly, there are many, many families who believe that there is no hope after brain damage.
Many years ago it was thought that after suffering a brain injury a person would not be able to recover. It was also thought that if someone had suffered a brain injury and a lot of time had passed, whether it was months or years, the person had lost their window of recovery and there was no hope. Everything has changed!
Remember Doris, a mother who could not speak, could not sit up on her own, had her left side paralyzed, could not walk and needed six nurses to mobilize her.
Her story is one of many that prove that the brain does have the BIG capacity to rewire itself because TODAY Doris’ story is a different one!
